Get in touchYou need to complete a P11D if you have provided your employees with benefits or expenses, such as company cars, health insurance, or travel expenses. You must file the P11D form with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) by 6 July following the end of the tax year.
The tax rate for P11D expenses and benefits is determined by the value of the benefit, and it is usually calculated based on the employee's tax bracket. The value of the benefits is added to the employee's taxable income, and they will pay taxon the total amount. The employer must also pay Class 1A National Insurance contributions on the value of the benefits provided.
It's important to note that you need to pay any tax due on P11D benefits by 22 July(or 19 July if paying by cheque) if you're paying it yourself or 19 October if HMRC is collecting it through your tax code.
Our experts will work with you to not only complete your P11Ds but also provide advice on any benefits you provide to your employees including recommending solutions to incentivise employees in ways which will not increase their tax liability through P11Ds
